Begin your technique journey by learning about proper technique at the piano. This lesson will help you understand how to sit at the piano and utilize my grab technique. I suggest favoriting this lesson so you can refer back to it from time to time since this information will be helpful to you for years to come. I also suggest that you focus heavily on the Jazzedge Practice Curriculum™ to improve your technique!
This lesson helps to build on the previous step. Pay attention to the grab technique when playing these exercises.
While not just about technique, this lesson will show you how to improve your piano practice.
This is the first scale you should learn. You DO NOT need to work on all elements of this lesson.
For example, I would suggest starting by only learning the scale in each hand, then hands together.
Don't worry about all of the chords and progressions on the sheet music just yet. You can come back to this lesson later to build out more theory the further along you get in your piano journey.
Part of learning technique is also learning about rhythm. This lesson is a great place to start!
