What Are Intensive Coaching Sessions?

Each 6-Week Intensive includes two live group coaching sessions with Willie during the 6-week program. These sessions are designed to provide direct feedback, answer questions, and help you apply what you're learning in the intensive.

What to Expect

Coaching sessions are group sessions (not one-on-one) where:

• Willie provides musical feedback: Get direct feedback on your playing and musical choices
• Questions are answered: Ask questions about the intensive content or your progress
• Clarity is provided: Get clarification on concepts that might be unclear
• Community connection: Connect with other students working through the same intensive

What Coaching Sessions Are NOT

It's important to understand that coaching sessions:

• Do not re-teach lessons: The sessions focus on feedback and clarification, not re-teaching material from the weekly lessons
• Are not private lessons: These are group sessions where multiple students participate
• Are not mandatory: While highly recommended, you can still complete the intensive without attending live

Finding Your Coaching Sessions

You can find information about upcoming coaching sessions in two places:

On Your Dashboard

The "Next Intensives Coaching" card on your Intensive Dashboard shows:

• The event title (e.g., "Intensives Coaching #1")
• Date and time (formatted like "Tue. Feb 10, 2026 at 9AM")
• A "View Event" link to access the full event page

On the Event Page

Clicking "View Event" takes you to the full event page where you can:

• See complete event details
• Access the join link (when available)
• Add the event to your calendar
• View any resources or materials

When Sessions Are Scheduled

Coaching sessions are scheduled during the 6-week intensive period:

• Two sessions per intensive: Each intensive includes two coaching sessions
• Timing varies: Sessions are scheduled at different points during the 6 weeks
• Check your dashboard: The "Next Intensives Coaching" card shows the next upcoming session

Accessing Live Sessions

To join a live coaching session:

1. Check the event page for the join link (usually a Zoom link)
2. Click "Join Session" when the session time arrives
3. Make sure you have access—if you purchased the intensive, you should have automatic access via your Keap tag

Access Requirements

To access intensive coaching sessions, you need:

• Access to the intensive: You must have purchased the specific intensive or have Premier membership
• Login: You must be logged into your Jazzedge Academy account

If you purchased an intensive but can't access the coaching session, contact support—they can verify your Keap tag is set correctly.

Replays and Recordings

If you can't attend a live session:

• Replays are available: Coaching sessions are typically recorded
• Access replays: Check the event page after the session for replay links
• Same access required: You'll need the same access (Keap tag) to view replays

Preparing for Coaching Sessions

To get the most out of your coaching session:

• Watch the lessons: Complete the weekly lessons before the session
• Practice the material: Work through the Practice Actions
• *Prepare questions*: Have specific questions ready about concepts you're struggling with
• Be ready to play: If comfortable, be prepared to play something you've been working on
• Test your connection: Make sure your internet and video/audio work before the session

During the Session

During the coaching session:

• Listen actively: Pay attention to feedback given to other students—you can learn from it too
• Ask questions: Don't hesitate to ask questions when appropriate
• Take notes: Jot down key points or feedback
• Be respectful: Follow group session etiquette and be patient with others

Troubleshooting Access

Can't see the join link? Make sure you're logged in and have the correct access. If you purchased the intensive, verify your Keap tag is set correctly.

Getting "Premier members only" message? If you purchased an intensive individually, you should have access via your Keap tag. Contact support if you see this message.

Session already happened? Check the event page for replay links. Replays are usually available shortly after the live session ends.
