Intensive Community Access

What Is the Intensive Community?

Each 6-Week Intensive includes access to a dedicated private community space. This community is designed to provide accountability, support, and connection with other students working through the same intensive.

Purpose of the Community

The intensive community serves several important functions:

Accountability Through Visibility

The community creates accountability through visibility, not pressure. When you see other students posting their progress, it motivates you to keep going. When you post your own work, it commits you to continuing your practice.

Feedback and Support

Get feedback on your playing from:

  • Other students in the intensive
  • The community at large
  • Sometimes from instructors

Connection

Connect with other pianists who are:

  • Working through the same material
  • Facing similar challenges
  • At similar skill levels
  • Committed to improving

What You Can Do in the Community

The community is designed for sharing and learning:

Post Your Playing

Students are encouraged to post:

  • Short practice clips: Share what you're working on
  • Performance videos: Show your progress on intensive material
  • Questions: Ask for help or clarification
  • Progress updates: Share milestones and achievements

Give Feedback

  • Offer encouragement and support
  • Share what worked for you
  • Provide constructive feedback
  • Celebrate others' progress

Learn from Others

Watch and learn from:

  • How other students approach the material
  • Different interpretations and styles
  • Common challenges and solutions
  • Tips and techniques that work

  • Offer encouragement and constructive feedback
  • Remember everyone is learning
  • Be patient and kind
  • Celebrate progress, not just perfection

  • Engage with others: Commenting on others' posts builds community
  • Don't compare: Focus on your own progress, not comparing to others
  • Have fun: The community is meant to be supportive and enjoyable

Not seeing posts? Check that you're in the correct community space for your intensive. Some intensives have separate community areas.

Want to post but nervous? Start with a simple question or short practice clip. Remember, everyone is learning and the community is supportive.

Remember

The intensive community is about accountability through visibility, not pressure. It's a supportive space where you can share your progress, get feedback, and connect with others on the same learning journey. Don't be afraid to participate—everyone starts somewhere!
