What Are JPC Milestone Submissions?

One of the most exciting aspects of Jazzedge Practice Curriculum™ is that you can submit short milestone videos for personalized feedback and grading from a live teacher. After completing all 12 keys of a focus, you have the opportunity to record your performance and receive expert guidance to help you improve.

Why Submit Milestones?

Submitting milestones offers several benefits:

• Personalized Feedback: Get specific, actionable advice from experienced teachers
• Progress Validation: Confirm you're mastering the concepts correctly
• Motivation: Celebrate your achievements and stay motivated
• Skill Development: Identify areas for improvement and refine your technique

How to Submit Your Milestone

Follow these simple steps to submit your JPC milestone for grading:

Step 1: Complete All 12 Keys

Before you can submit a milestone, you must complete all 12 keys of your current focus. Make sure you've practiced each key thoroughly and marked them as complete in your Practice Dashboard.

Step 2: Click the 'Submit Milestone' Button

Once all 12 keys are completed, you'll see a "Submit Milestone" button appear for that focus. This button will be visible in your Practice Dashboard.

Step 3: Record Your Performance Video

Record a video of yourself performing the material from the focus you've completed. Here are some tips for recording:

• Make sure your hands and keyboard are clearly visible
• Record in a well-lit area
• Keep the video focused on your performance
• Keep it concise - milestone videos should be relatively short

Step 4: Upload to YouTube

Step 5: Enter Your YouTube Link

After uploading your video to YouTube (and ensuring it's set to Unlisted or Public), return to the milestone submission page and enter your YouTube video URL in the provided field.

Step 6: Submit for Grading

Once you've entered your YouTube link, click the submit button. Your milestone will be sent to our teaching team for review. You'll receive personalized feedback and a grade to help guide your continued practice.

What Happens After Submission?

After you submit your milestone:

1. Review Process: A live teacher will review your video performance
2. Grading: You'll receive a grade based on your performance. It may take up to 2 weeks to receive your grade.
3. Feedback: You'll get detailed, personalized feedback to help you improve
4. Next Steps: Use the feedback to refine your practice and continue your learning journey

Tips for Success

• Practice First: Make sure you're comfortable with all 12 keys before recording
• Record Multiple Takes: Don't be afraid to record a few times to get your best performance
• Check Privacy Settings: Always verify your video is set to Unlisted or Public (never Private) before submitting
• Be Patient: Review and grading may take a few days - our teachers carefully review each submission
• Use Feedback: Apply the feedback you receive to improve your next milestone submission
