Tracking Your Progress

How Progress Tracking Works

Your Intensive Dashboard automatically tracks your progress as you complete lessons and Practice Actions. This visual feedback helps you see what you've accomplished and what's still ahead.

Completion Indicators

When you complete a lesson or Practice Action, you'll see clear visual indicators:

Orange Checkmark

Completed items display an orange checkmark icon in the top-right corner of the card. This checkmark appears immediately after you mark a chapter as complete.

Orange Border

Completed cards also have an orange border (2px width) around the entire card. The orange color (#f04e23) makes completed items stand out clearly from incomplete ones.

What Gets Tracked

The dashboard tracks completion for:

  • Main Lesson: The weekly main lesson video
  • Practice Actions: Each of the three weekly Practice Action videos

How Completion is Determined

Progress is tracked when you mark a chapter as complete in the lesson player. Here's how it works:

  1. Watch the lesson or Practice Action video
  2. Mark the chapter as complete using the completion button in the lesson player
  3. The dashboard automatically updates to show the completion indicators
  4. If you mark something as uncomplete, the indicators are removed

Viewing Your Progress

You can see your progress at a glance:

Completed Items

  • Orange checkmark in the top-right corner
  • Orange border around the card
  • Same "Watch Lesson" link (you can still review completed content)

Incomplete Items

  • No checkmark
  • Standard card border (no orange highlight)
  • "Watch Lesson" link to access the content

Progress Across Intensives

Each intensive tracks its own progress separately:

  • When you switch between intensives using the dropdown, you'll see the completion status for that specific intensive
  • Completing a lesson in one intensive doesn't affect the progress display in other intensives
  • Your progress is saved per intensive, so you can track multiple intensives independently

Why Track Progress?

Tracking your progress helps you:

  • Stay motivated: See how much you've accomplished
  • Stay organized: Know what you've completed and what's next
  • Plan your practice: Focus on incomplete items
  • Review completed work: Easily identify content you've already covered

Marking Items Complete

To mark a lesson or Practice Action as complete:

  1. Click "Watch Lesson" on the dashboard card
  2. Watch the video content
  3. In the lesson player, use the completion button to mark the chapter as complete
  4. Return to the dashboard to see the orange checkmark and border

Marking Items Uncomplete

If you need to mark something as uncomplete (perhaps to review it again):

  1. Go to the lesson page
  2. Use the completion button to unmark the chapter
  3. The dashboard will automatically remove the completion indicators
  4. Tips for Progress Tracking

    • Mark complete after watching: Don't mark items complete until you've actually watched and understood the content
    • Use it as a guide: The progress indicators help you know where you are in the intensive
    • Don't rush: Focus on understanding, not just checking boxes
    • Review when needed: You can always rewatch completed content—the checkmark doesn't lock you out

    Troubleshooting

Checkmark not appearing? Make sure you've marked the chapter as complete in the lesson player, not just watched the video.

Progress not updating? Try refreshing the dashboard page. The completion status updates automatically when you mark chapters complete.

Wrong completion status? If something shows as complete when it shouldn't (or vice versa), go to the lesson page and adjust the completion status there.
