LESSON DETAILS
Working With A Bass Player
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to work with a bass player. My friend, and bassist extraordinaire, Bryan Frank Rizzuto and I will teach you the techniques you need to know in order to most effectively work with a bass player in a both a live and rehearsal situation. You’ll see Bryan and I pick tunes, talk through arrangements, solo and discuss how to interact in a duo performance. This will be a live, unrehearsed session so you’ll get to see in real-time how we tackle issues you might find when working with other musicians.
LESSON COLLECTION DETAILS
In this TheTotalMusician course, you'll learn how to create and master use of your rootless chords. Rootless chords are an important tool in both group and solo piano playing. In session 1 we are covering the basics of how to create rootless chords. In session 2 we apply rootless chords to standards. We will follow up these 2 sessions with a session with a bass player to see how to interact and pick tunes with another musician.
