Our goal is simple — help you become a better musician, not overwhelm you with legal jargon. Here is a clear breakdown of how everything works. If you have any questions, please contact us before ordering.

Agreement to these terms

By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or using the Jazzedge Academy site, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms are between you and Jazzedge Corp.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Accounts are for one person. Please do not share your login, and do not let anyone else use your account. If you believe someone else has accessed your account, contact us right away.

You must be at least 18 to purchase a membership. Younger students are welcome to learn with a parent or guardian's account and supervision.

Memberships and billing

Automatic renewal. Memberships renew monthly or yearly, based on your plan and unless otherwise noted, until canceled.

Payment. You authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal date at the then-current rate for your plan. If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend access until it clears.

Price changes. If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you before the change takes effect on your account.

Taxes. Prices exclude any taxes we are required to collect, which will be added at checkout where applicable.

No billing reminders. We do not send email reminders before renewals. Please keep track of your billing date.

Canceling

You can cancel your membership at any time from your account under "Billing & Payments." Your access continues through the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Canceling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period except as described below. Canceling stops future renewals — it is not a refund request. If you are within your first 30 days and want a refund, you must also write to us at support@jazzedge.com and ask for one before those 30 days are up.

Refunds

30-day refund, first-time members only. Memberships include a 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time members only. This refund is available once per customer, and only on your very first membership with us. If you have been a member before — even years ago, and even if you canceled — you are not eligible for a refund on a new membership. Coming back as a member does not reset your eligibility.

How to request a refund. Refunds are not automatic and canceling by itself is not a refund request. You must write to us at support@jazzedge.com within the first 30 days of your original purchase and ask for a refund. Requests made after 30 days cannot be honored, no matter when you last used the site.

Download limit during the refund period. During the first 30 days you may download up to 5 resources. Exceeding this limit voids eligibility for a refund.

Renewals are non-refundable. If you do not wish to continue, please cancel before your next billing date.

Downloads are final sale. All downloadable products are non-refundable.

One refund per customer. Only one refund is allowed per customer across your entire membership history.

Legacy pricing. If you cancel a membership at a special or legacy rate, that rate is not guaranteed if you return in the future.

What you can do with the lessons

Your membership is a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to stream and download our lessons, sheet music, and backing tracks for your own musical study, for as long as your membership is active.

Please do not: share your account or downloads with anyone else; upload our materials to any other site, cloud folder, or file-sharing service; resell, sublicense, or redistribute them in any form; or use them as the basis of a competing product.

Teachers: using our materials in your own paid teaching requires written permission from us first. Ask — we are usually happy to work something out.

Our content

All lessons, videos, sheet music, backing tracks, text, graphics, and software on this site are owned by Jazzedge Corp. or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you.

Community conduct

Our community exists so students can help each other. Be civil. Do not post anything unlawful, harassing, hateful, or infringing, do not spam or advertise, and do not post other people's copyrighted material. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Availability and changes

We add, update, and occasionally retire lessons. We aim to keep the site available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may need to suspend the site for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

Results

We teach; you practice. We cannot and do not guarantee any particular musical outcome, level of skill, or result from using our lessons.

Disclaimer

The site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jazzedge Corp. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or your membership is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jazzedge Corp. from any claim arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of anyone else's rights.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, including sharing credentials or redistributing our materials. Where we close an account for a serious violation, refunds are not available.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and material changes will apply from the date they are posted. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts located there, and you and Jazzedge Corp. each consent to that jurisdiction.

Talk to us first

If something goes wrong, please contact us before taking any formal action — most problems are solved with an email. Reach us at support@jazzedge.com or through our Support page.
