Opening Up The Community

A quick heads up about a change to the community.

Until now, you couldn't see any of this without an Academy account. Starting today, the front door
is open — anyone can find the community, look around, and see that there's something real here.

Here's why: I want people who are searching for help with piano to find us. Right now they can't.
A community nobody can see doesn't bring anyone new in, and new members are what keep this place
active for you.

What has NOT changed:

The Academy Members Only spaces are locked. TCI Live, Say Hello, Practice Lounge, Lesson Help &
Questions, Post Your Performances, Cocktail Piano, Coffee Chat and Community Thoughts are visible
only to members. A visitor sees the name and a lock — nothing else. Not your posts, not your
videos, not your comments.

Everything you have ever posted in those spaces stays exactly as private as it was when you
posted it. Nothing you wrote has been made public.

What IS public:

Start Here, Site Updates, Jazzedge Youtube Videos, and Gear Talk. These are general spaces without
personal content. If you've posted in one of them and would rather it not be public, delete it or
send me a message and I'll take care of it — no explanation needed.

Nothing else changes. Same people, same spaces, same conversations. The only difference is that
someone standing outside can now see there's a door.
